Student Government

Hello 116 Family! We are excited to introduce you to our Student Government Cabinet for the 2025–2026 school year. Our President, Meylin Flores, is an 8th grader eager to make the senior year memorable while proudly representing Liberty Academy. Our Vice President, Zeinabou Kouyate, is a spirited 7th grader, a dedicated member of the dance team, and someone who brings joy, energy, and a passion for spreading kindness throughout the school. And last but certainly not least, our Secretary, Joehon Perez, is a bright and enthusiastic 6th grader in his first year of middle school; he brings fresh ideas and is committed to making sure every student’s voice is heard.

Student Government at PS/IS 116Q is a leadership team made up of students who represent the voices, ideas, and needs of the school community. They help plan events, encourage school spirit, promote kindness, and work to make our school a better place for everyone. This year’s Student Government is excited to make waves at 116Q—bringing fresh ideas, positive change, and a strong commitment to making our school an even more vibrant and supportive place for all students.
